July 4th Sawdust 5K Volunteers

Hello Swimmers!

Sawdust 5K Athletic Grant
The Sawdust 5K fund was established by Jeff and Alyson Leno as a way to give back to the programs that provided them with so many positive experiences as high school students.  The funds they generously provide each year will be made available to high school athletic programs that in turn commit time and energy to help put on the race.  These grants are not meant to replace yearly budgeted items, but would be a way to supplement our programs with things that don’t quite fit into the normal athletic budget.

  • Race start: 8:00 AM
  • Race End: 9:15AM (estimated time)
  • Place: Pinehurst Park Cloquet

Want to Volunteer?!?! (Call/Text Kayla 218-269-6968)
(Swimmer and Parents welcome)

Volunteers
-  Check in with Kayla by 7:00AM ( I will be in the Pinehurst pool building)
- Check in with Mr. Lenarz by 7:15 AM (at the Pinehurst Park Pavilion)
-  Athletes should be wearing their team uniform or something that signifies what athletic team they are representing.
-  Once assigned a corner the athletes should plan to go there straight from the meeting.  After that it is about cheering on the runners and representing our teams.
                -  Some ideas that have helped in the past….
                                -  Have a car close with the radio on..
                                -  Make signs with encouragements on them and also identifying that team.
- BE FUN, THE LOUDER AND MORE BOISTEROUS YOU ARE THE BETTER!

This is a great way to give back to the community!
